Hi! I have always wanted to write, ever since I was 9 years old. I'm in my forties now. I did write a novel some years ago and was rejected 3 times. I was so disgruntled I threw the novel on one side and never went back to it or attempted to write. One publisher did tell me not to give up because I had something and to keep trying. I gave my novel to my A Level English teacher years ago who had a look at it for me and put me right where I'd been going wrong. I didn't re submit it to various publishers. I've just left it. I drew inspiration for my second novel from two visits to the mining museum. I'd always had an interest in mining. I sat down and put some notes together for this novel and started to write two chapters. Its ended up on a lonely shelf somewhere! I did the same writing course as some of the members of the group many moons ago. Some members remembered me but I didn't them. I stumbled across Yeadon Writers three to four years ago whilst sat in the library and decided to give them a call. They are a wonderful group of people with various writing experiences and are always so welcoming and friendly, even when you've not been for a long time. I much prefer the group to a writing course. Its very informal and relaxed. I look forward to my Tuesday nights! Hope to see you there!
